Founder of GHG Actions, Agus Salim brings twenty-six years of professional expertise in forestry and conservation across private, NGO, and consultancy sectors. Specializing in terrestrial GIS applications, his skills encompass habitat type assessment, land cover and land change mapping, and freshwater systems analyses.

Salim excels in applying GIS tools to enhance decision-making, managing large projects with a focus on environmental sensitivity, climate mitigation, and conservation priorities. Formerly a vice president for a multinational company, he led the geomatics business unit, integrating enterprise GIS into existing workflows. A seasoned GIS trainer, Salim has completed GIS, remote sensing applications, and training projects throughout Indonesia, Canada, Africa, and other parts of Southeast Asia.

Ben is a highly accomplished natural resource professional with over two decades of leadership, project management, and private sector experience in sustainable forest management, conservation, and carbon project development in Indonesia. He holds a Master’s degree in Forestry and its Relation to Land Use from the University of Oxford, and a first-class honours undergraduate degree in Science from the University of Dublin, Trinity college.

He has an excellent technical understanding of forestry and carbon frameworks, policies, legal compliance requirements and sustainability standards including the VCS and CCB standards, the FSC forest management and chain of custody standard; and the IFC sustainability performance standards.  Ben will support GHG actions in the preparation of technical documents, compliance with VCS & CCB standards, as well as building and mentoring our technical teams.

With 30 years of experience in Audit, Finance, and Accounting, Herman Yusan’s career began in an accounting firm before a lengthy tenure with a national timber industry company in East Kalimantan. Joining GHG Actions, Herman redirected his expertise towards forest conservation and restoration.

Committed to environmental sustainability, he now concentrates on initiatives preserving and restoring forests, driven by a deep concern for the planet’s well-being and the legacy left for future generations.
